Amended Complaint filed February 18, 2003 adding Disney, LucasFilm, MGM/UA, Le Studio Canal +, Paramount, Warner Communications to the litigation which continues to include Fox and Universal.  The removal of Sony (Columbia) from the amended complaint was accepted by opposing counsel, Mr. Ian C. March 13, 2003 settlement proposed by (and close to being accepted with) Warner Brothers.  Hurray ! (phone numbers deleted from pdf).

Pete comments, "Warner Brothers literally made us a promising offer.  This settlement isn't an acknowledgment of Fair Use, which would clarify the law a bit for others, but it does feel like we've been advanced another base camp up Everest.  Thank you to the lawyers on both sides.  I'm not a pacifist, but I much prefer peace to war and there are still a multitude of other defendants in this case who may yet offer opportunity for achieving some victory for Fair Use in court."

Pete Livingston scheduled to be deposed at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, March 27, 2003 -- now deferred until ?

June 20, 2003, 1:30pm - rescheduled date for Case Management Conference.
